Robert Augedahl

RobertAugedahl_rgbRobert Augedahl, 68, began his journey through life in Caledonia, Minn., on October 3, 1947, the son on Arthur and Dolores (Marnach) Augedahl. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Caledonia Care and Rehab due to complications from Alzheimer’s.

Bob had a storied and great life. He grew up in Caledonia where he met the love of his life, Anne Burg, and they shared three wonderful children. Among the things that he enjoyed were hunting, golf, and most importantly, his family. He purchased Brady Elevator and through the years turned it into Bob and Anne’s Farm & Home. In 1990, he went to paramedic school and then went to work at Tri-State Ambulance. He was also a tremendous civil servant and spent eight years in the mayor’s office in Caledonia and as a Houston County commissioner for two years. He cared for many and loved to educate more people in the EMS world as he felt life-saving was his calling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne of 49 years; children, Aaron (Paula), Lisa (Stan) and Joseph. His grandkids include Tyler, Robert, Angie, Greg, Emily, Jessica, Kathryn and Matthew. Also survivng are his siblings, David (Helen), Paul (Lorna), Mary Clare (Bill) Klug, Michael, Ann (Tony) Bauer, Phillip (Cindy) and Bill (Kim).

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, at St. Mary’s Holy Family Hall, Caledonia, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary’s, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church before the service.
