Lois Beverly Schutz, 87, of Arcadia, Wisconsin died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Grand View Care Center, Blair, Wisconsin.
Lois was born November 24, 1927 in Kindred, North Dakota, to Benjamin and Louella (Thoen) Steele. Lois married James Schutz on September 16, 1947 in Caledonia. James died March 21, 1988. She worked in the housekeeping department of Xavier Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Arcadia until her retirement at age 70.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Judy), Buffalo City, Wisconsin; Linda (Marvin) Papenfuss, New Berlin, Wisconsin; Robert (Tammy) Rice Lake, Wisconsin; Dennis (Marilyn), Fountain City, Wisconsin; Steven (Laurie Weinberg) River Falls, Wisconsin; and James Jr., Arcadia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Steele, Caledonia.
In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by sisters, Julia Ann Bakke and Doris Pinzone; and brothers, Merle and Wayne Steele.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Steven Meyer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church Saturday morning.
