Rick Hutchings

Rick Hutchings of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, November 6, 1942 in Potosi, Missouri to Gentry Willard and Trula Esther Fryman Hutchings and passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 19 days.
Rick served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Karen Beth Ranzenberger on December 21, 1964 in Caledonia, Minnesota and to this union four children were born.
Rick worked all his adult life as a logger mostly in Crawford County and the midwest, including a few years in Anamosa, Iowa. He liked watching NASCAR and in his earlier years enjoyed attending flat track races in Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gentry and Trula Hutchings; sisters, Sybil Lorene Ogzwalla and Charlene Amburgy; brothers-in-law, Darald Evans, Odell Evans, Dave Ranzenberger and Dan Ranzenberger; and sister-in-law, Eileen Mack.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Hutchings of Cuba; children, Tim (Sally) Hutchings, Argyle, New York; Tricia (Dave) Workman; Tracy (Marcy) Hutchings and Travis (Brianna) Hutchings, all of Cuba; brothers and sisters, Geraldine (Jerry) King, Wanda Hawkins, Betty (Curt) Lefler, Donna Tittsworth, Sonny (Mary) Hutchings and Edward (Sandy) Robertson, all of Steelville, Missouri; Jess Evans, Effingham, Illinois and Pat Evans of Vichy, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Ruth Ann) Ranzenberger, Connie Ranzenberger, Linda Ranzenberger and Jane (Paul) Schiltz, all of Caledonia, Minnestoa, Tom (Kate) Ranzenberger, Stewartville, Minnesota; Jim (Gayle) Ranzenberger, Whalen, Minnesota; Joyce (Dale) Dorsch, Winona, Minnesota; and Lisa (Steve) Johnson, Plainview, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, with Dr. Woody Martin officiating. Burial was at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, with full military honors.
