Helen G. Frank, 95, of Caledonia, Minn., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2015 at Gundersen Tweeten Health Care Center in Spring Grove, Minn.
Helen was born October 3, 1920, in Mabel, Minn. to Helmer and Ida (Wermager) Ganrude. She moved to the Caledonia area where she attended school and graduated in 1938. After graduation, she began working for N.W. Bell Telephone Co. She held several positions there, telephone operator and chief operator, and she also worked in the commercial department. She married Henry Frank on June 27, 1946. In addition to spending their winters in Florida, they enjoyed dancing and traveling. Henry passed away July 21, 2012.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Richard) Leary of Caledonia and Carol (Tom) Klug of Racine, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Erin, David, Sarah, Jason, Jacob, Sarah and Leslie; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Mark Sullivan; a son-in-law, Bill Sullivan; two sisters, Mildred Quarve and Alma Stafne; two brothers, Odin and Leo Ganrude; and a nephew, Mark Ganrude.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Steven Meyer will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia.
